Who we are

What we collect

We only collect data after you connect Instagram via OAuth. Once connected, we collect your Instagram professional account's basic profile (username and account ID) and the media insights for your own posts — reach, shares, saves, likes, and comments — along with your post captions.

We never collect data from accounts that haven't authorized AskBoca, and we never collect your password.

How we use it

We use your data to calculate your own engagement scores and baselines and to generate your Daily Brief and strategist notes. To produce those AI-written insights, your metrics and captions may be processed by our AI provider (Anthropic) via API.

Storage & security

Your data is stored in our database (Supabase / Postgres). Your Instagram access token is encrypted at rest and is never exposed to your browser. Access is restricted to your own workspace.

Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the infrastructure providers that run the service — hosting (Vercel), database (Supabase), and AI processing (Anthropic) — and with Meta / Instagram as part of the API connection.

Your controls

You can disconnect Instagram at any time in Settings, which revokes our access. You can also request full deletion of your data — see our Data Deletion Instructions.

Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. It is deleted on request, or after you disconnect Instagram followed by a period of inactivity.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will post the changes here with a new date.
